Brinsop Court Wedding Photography Hereford – Ged and Angie
I have a truly magical wedding to share with you, Ged and Angie’s summer wedding at Brinsop Court . We had such a wonderful day capturing their festivities, I started at Brinsop with Angie and her bridesmaids, in the beautiful french bedroom with the wonderful Jen, from Jennifer’s Dressing Table. We then all headed off into Hereford to the incredible historic Belmont Abbey, for a beautiful personal ceremony and photographs in the grounds. After the guests all headed back to Brinsop court for an amazing garden party on the lawn, with oysters, champagne and garden games. One of my most memorable aspects of this day was the outdoor wedding breakfast! we were super lucky with the weather and Ged and Angie’s guests all sat outdoors for the most wonderful dinner and speeches in the courtyard. It was then over to the Hereford legend, Pete Stead for a brilliant party in the banqueting hall! Now over to Ged and Angie who have kindly wrote all about their day for me 🙂
About the couple
Angie and I met in a Scandinavian bar called Nordic opposite the office I used to work in. I proposed in Mauritius, on the beach walking back to our room after dinner. Followed by a bottle of Tignanello and Laurent Perrier Rose which I had somehow managed to smuggle in my suitcase with the ring for 10 days unnoticed and we holidayed in South Africa prior to the proposal!
Wedding planning
We both did it, we don’t work well together so Angie did some tasks and I did others – we worked off separately planners! We picked Brinsop first as we wanted something rural, then we discovered Belmont Abbey was nearby so we booked it in after!
What was the most memorable part of your day?
The Garden Party seemed to have been the most memorable! Shucking oysters and drinking champagne in the sun, enjoyable given it was pouring down all morning and we didn’t think we’d make it outside at all!
Outfits
Men went classic Black Tie, simple but classy. Angie’s gown was by Badgley Mischka, from JS Couture, London.
Any advice for future couples wedding planning?
Split jobs, don’t try and do them together! Write a call sheet!
All of our suppliers were great.
Lucy and her assistant Toni – Photographers, Dave Bennet at Taste Catering, Lorina and Pat at Brinsop Court. Peter Stead was very good DJ’ing too, with very little direction as we ran out of time.
