ABOUT LUCY

Hi, I am Lucy. I am the one with the cheesy grin over there. I have been shooting weddings for 15 years. I adore my job.

I love to travel and I cover weddings all over the UK and abroad.

I’m like a one-person cheering squad, rooting for you on the big day and long after! I’ll blend right in with your guests, making everyone feel relaxed and at ease, which leads to some stunning, natural documentary photographs. If someone asks how I know you, by the end of the night, I know I’ve nailed it.

I live in Cheshire with my other half Edward, our two children and gorgeous black Labrador Poppy. You can usually find me in my wellies on a muddy walk or snuggled up with a cup of tea and a dark chocolate digestive (king of biscuits, I dare you to disagree).

I am nosy and this is totally the sort of info I would like to know when looking for a photographer, so here you go.

I am a formally trained photographer, which isn’t super common in the wedding industry a lot of photographer sort of fall into it. But I have a BA hons photography degree from Nottingham Trent University. 

I have shot well over 300 weddings over the past 15 years. Which means, nothing much will surprise or phase me. I have seen A LOT. It makes me a really good documentary photographer as I can often preempt what is about to happen and be ready to capture it.

 If you really want to know the techy details. I currently shoot with Canon R6’s after 12 year of being a diehard Nikon girl they just didn’t make the cut any more and I haven’t looked back.

A Few Facts About Me

  • I grew up in sunny Birmingham, but moved away in 2006. When I am tired the accent returns. 
  • My second baby was born at just 30 weeks, we spent 8 weeks in NICU together before we got to bring him home. 
  • I refused to go to labour ward, while in labour until I has finished uploading a wedding I had just completed. I was screaming in pain while it was at 90%, telling the midwives it only have 10% left to go. I look back and laugh at this now.
  • I was 21 when I shot my first wedding, I was at university at the time studying Photography and feel in love with weddings. 
  • It brings me immense joy when couples include their dogs in their wedding celebrations.
  • There isn’t very much that will surprise me at weddings anymore…so feel free to go wild and surprise me.

Not only are the photos Lucy captures absolutely phenomenal but Lucy herself is the just lovely! She made us feel feel so so comfortable and at ease with the posed shots ….. I could not recommend Lucy enough. Thank you so much Lucy, you are amazing!
