How Caple Court Wedding Photography – Rosie and Dan

I am delighted to share Rosie and Dan’s beautiful wedding day. These two are such a amazing couple, they warmly invited me into their day and we had so much fun, they had two stunning wedding locations, with a ceremony at Belmont Abbey and the reception at How Caple Court in Herefordshire. I started the day at Rosies family home, where her bridesmaids surprised her with lots of lovely gifts, then we headed upstairs to put on ‘the dress’. Rosie’s wedding dress was extra special as her mum had made it for her, you could tell how much love and care had been put in it and the moment it was on with Rosie’s veil was an emotional moment. Rosie had kindly written a little more about their day below.

The Proposal

At home over brunch. Dan got a mug made with “Will you marry me?” printed in the bottom. Luckily the ring wasn’t in the mug otherwise that story could have had a very different ending haha.

The Venue

It was very important to Dan that we got married in a church but we wanted somewhere with beautiful grounds for our photos- Belmont Abbey certainly delivered on that!
How Caple Court- we visited a few venues but as soon as we visited How Caple Court it ticked every box for us. The beautiful lawn for our arrival drinks, the marquee for our wedding breakfast and the barn for the party! Vanessa and Martin were also amazing throughout, nothing was too much trouble, they were so helpful and friendly.

What was the most memorable part of the day.

Really difficult to pick just one thing! I think it would have to be the moment that I arrived at the church and was about to walk down the aisle! Or the wedding speeches, I loved these.

Any advice for future couples wedding planning?

Don’t let it stress you out! It should be an enjoyable process.

Team

Nicola Harrison Makeup- amazing and such a calm and friendly presence on the morning of the wedding.

Prickly Pear Catering- AMAZING food and so helpful throughout the whole planning process.

Sam Westlake DJ’s- again so helpful and knew exactly what music to play to get everyone on the dancefloor!

We were also so fortunate to have so much help from friends and family, my Mum made the dress, Dan’s Mum made the cakes, Dan’s sister Cath styled mine and all of my bridesmaids hair, my Grandma decorated all the jars and my Grandma and Auntie raided everyone’s gardens to fill them with flowers. My bridesmaid Izzy made all our bouquets and my other bridesmaid Kat wrote all of the name places for us…all in all it was a real family affair which not only saved us a lot of money but made everything so much more personal and enjoyable.
