Gibbon Bridge Wedding Photography – Kayla and Jack

Where did you meet? – Tinder (dating app), yes, we know that it is a cliché to find love on a dating app. But sometimes special things happen and you just go with what feels right
The proposal – The proposal was on a very stressful July 4th (American Independence Day) in Central Park by a pond. Kayla was in a bad mood because she planned for her and Jack to see the fireworks but the location that was supposed to be a viewpoint for the fireworks turned out to be blocked by a bridge. Kayla just wanted to go to a bar and get a drink to celebrate. However, Jack, knowing that he wanted to propose, didn’t want to do that. So, Jack convinced her to go to Central Park with me by bribing her with ice cream and candy (in true tantrum-control fashion). They got into a conversation about their future and after asking if she could see herself marrying him and building a life together with kids and the opportunity to grow old together, he got down on one knee.
Wedding planning – wedding planning is hard when the location of the wedding is in a different country than your residence. However, with probably the saintliest, understanding mother-in-law that there could ever be, it was practically a breeze. She put in input, took my ideas, helped by visiting places, and I trusted her judgment to pick the venue of the wedding. Without her help, I would probably at a loss and it wouldn’t have turned out to be the magical day that it was. – Kayla
How did you pick or decided on your venue? We wanted something with a bit of history and natural beauty to match our theme of effortlessly rustic and floral beauty.
What was the most memorable part of your day? – The most memorable part of the day was without a doubt just looking around the room and seeing everyone that we love in one place. Being from different countries, we were very aware that having everyone together in one room would never happen again at least with everyone present.
Any advice for future couples wedding planning? Utilize the help of your parents. It may seem tedious to take their ideas into consideration sometimes but not only do they have good ideas, being involved in the planning for one of the biggest days of their lives is special to them too!

If you need a celebrant, Heather (Hev) Brown with The Ceremony Company held the short and sweet ceremony of our dreams! Her happiness and comfort made our nerves fade away.
Gibbon Bridge Hotel in Chipping, near Preston, was the perfect venue with Charles and Katherine making sure that the day went smoother than expected. Plus, the venue has beautiful floral arrangements, the bar staff is friendly, the food is very good, and each of the rooms are all better than the last.
Purple Swan Decorators had some amazing products for a rustic wedding that made our tables beautiful! They were very responsive and understanding when it came to what we envisioned our reception to look like!
Last but most certainly not least, Lucy G! She really was the glue that held it all together. What other wedding photographer out there would coordinate everyone, reign in unruly children, calm the bride down when she’s nervous about her dress getting dirty, remember all of the small requests that the bride and groom made, and still capture the most beautiful photos that I’ve ever seen of a wedding?!
