Wedding Planning Advice – Confetti

Wedding Advice Wednesday
I have shoot well over 100+ weddings and in that time I have picked up lots of tips I can pass on to brides and grooms to be. First up is Confetti, here is my top tips on all things confetti for your big day.
Tip 1.
The More the Merrier.
Order as much confetti as your budget will allow, it looks great on photographs and it’s lots of fun for your guests. Ideally order enough for everyone has a good big handful.
You don’t need fancy cones or packets (unless you want them).
2 baskets filled with confetti that can be passed around works really well.
For natural petal I highly recommend
I used them for my wedding, and recommend them to all my couples, I like the combination of Slowfall and Delphinium Petals.
For paper confetti, go for big and colourful. Like this amazing rainbow confetti from Proper Confetti.
Tip 2.
Don’t worry about the weather.
One of the groomsmen at Laura and Harry’s wedding took my last tip of ‘more the merrier’ to the extreme, love it!
Tip 3.
Enjoy
Enjoy the moment, look at each other, look at your friends and family. You don’t need to look at the camera, have fun. It’s a wonderful wedding moment, one you will remember.
Tip 4.
Bubbles
Some church and venues wont allow confetti, an alternative is bubbles. Again ‘the more the merrier’ hand out single bubbles to most guests, but get a few bubble guns too, for the kids (or big kids).
