Langdon Court Wedding Photography

I have a delightful wedding to share, I had the pleasure of packing up my car and heading down south for a fantastic wedding in Devon! Naomi and Fred are based in Herefordshire, but fell in love with the beautiful scenery and venue around Wembury in Devon. Their beautiful church had the most amazing view, and Langdon Court was a fantastic venue with beautiful gardens, a photographers dream. I feel so lucky to have met this wonderful couple and to have shared and captured their day and the start of their married life.

The proposal

Fred and I met in Bristol at the start of our University adventure. We were introduced to one another by a friend while drinking tea and eating biscuits.

We had decided to go on holiday for Christmas and chose the beautiful country of Iceland as our winter wonderland. The proposal stress started for Fred 24hours previous as we Facetimed loved ones at home, many of who knew about the surprise. The Northern Lights had supposed to have made an appearance on Christmas Day for the plan to have worked but no such luck and Fred had to hint to all those at home that “the plan had changed!” I was oblivious to this secret message! Fred did not let any of this get in the way however and proposed on Boxing Day 2013 as we watched the sunrise in the beautiful Blue Lagoon, Geothermal Spa. It was perfect.

Wedding planning

We planned the entire wedding together with the exception of the dress! We both had ideas of what we wanted and merged these together to make our perfect day. We used Pintrest a lot to help bring ideas to life. Wedding planning can be stressful and it seems like that it is all you talk about so we allocated Wednesday’s as “Wedding Wednesday’s” although just Wednesday’s weren’t always enough!

We visited loads of venues throughout many counties on our quest to find the perfect place. And when people say “you will just know” you really do. As soon as we laid eyes on Langdon Court and Wembury Church, we both knew this was where we wanted to tie the knot!

Our day was perfect and it is impossible to choose one memorable part. All I would say is enjoy every moment as it goes so quickly and take time for yourselves at different times. Fred and I climbed to the top of the steps at our evening reception and just watched, listened and shared moments from the day.
